CPS has an affiliate group of psychologists and social workers who provide diagnostic assessment, psychotherapy and groups in their particular areas of expertise.  A psychiatrist is available for medication and collaborative treatment.

We also provide supervision, seminars, and consultations for clinicians and business.

Counseling and Psychotherapy Services of Washington is a group practice founded in 1984 by licensed clinical social workers.  Partners and staff share the belief that all women, men, and children are entitled to affordable, professional mental health services.

From our diverse backgrounds and training we integrate various schools of thought and therapeutic techniques.  Using a psychodynamic understanding of our clients, we incorporate object relations, self-psychology, psychoanalytic and systems theory in our work with individuals, couples, families and groups.

We are experienced clinicians, licensed in Maryland, Virginia, and DC; members of Greater Washington Society for Clinical Social Work, National Association of Social Workers, Washington Society for Psychoanalytic Psychology and The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis.
